A dashboard is useful when someone else can open it, pick a date and a filter, and get the answer without asking you. This course builds exactly that, from the source sheet up.
Tables that answer questions
Insert and format tables, add date ranges and comparisons, drill down and add optional metrics, and sort them properly.
KPIs and pivot tables
Aggregation explained, then pivot tables and scorecards — the headline numbers at the top of every dashboard.
Controls anyone can use
Drop-down and fixed-size lists, input box and advanced filters, sliders and date range controls, so viewers filter the report themselves.
Custom fields
Add calculated fields, make a month field from a date, and work out profit margin inside the report instead of in the sheet.
