Python for Finance Nanodegree

Course description

1st Semester - Students will be introduced to coding in the 1st Semester. We will cover all the Python programming concepts that will be needed in various finance industries to perform a number of tasks. We will also learn about LinkedIn hacks to expand your network and showcase your work to potential employers.

2nd Semester - In the 2nd Semester, students will be taught financial analysis and various operations on Finance Data which earlier used to be performed using Excel (now will be done using Python), such as Creating, Analyzing, and Optimizing Financial Portfolios, Future-looking Mean-Variance Optimization & Asset Allocation, and Modern Portfolio Theory.

3rd Semester - In this semester we will be learning Technical Analysis using Python with a focus on Technical Indicators such as Bollinger Bands and RSI.

Additional Bonus: We Will also learn Business Intelligence using Tableau, the Most requested Business Intelligence tool & will create reports and dashboards.

• Use statistical analysis to find hidden insights into financial data used in financial models and strategies
• A solid understanding of how to analyze—with a quantitative mindset—the most important financial products such as equities, derivatives, and bonds
