Podcaster:
Welcome to today’s podcast! In this episode, we have Shruti, who has successfully secured placement with the help of Jobaaj Learnings. We’re going to take a deep dive into her journey—from the time she enrolled in the course to landing her job. So, Shruti, welcome! Let’s start with a little bit about you. Can you tell us where you’re from and a bit about your background?
Shruti:
Yeah, sure! So, I’m from Marana, Madhya Pradesh. I’ve been born and brought up here. I did my graduation in BBA, specializing in Finance, from Gwalior University. Later, I did my MBA from the Institute of Management Studies in Indore, also specializing in Finance. For the last eight years, I was preparing for the civil services, but recently, I realized I wanted to shift to a career in content writing, especially SEO. That’s when I found Jobaaj Learnings and enrolled in the Digital Marketing course.
Podcaster:
That’s great, Shruti! So, how did you come across Jobaaj Learnings? How did you find us?
Shruti:
I came to know about Jobaaj Learnings through Instagram. I saw some posts, and that’s how I got interested. I reached out, and that’s when I got in touch with Srijan, who was a huge help in guiding me through the process.
Podcaster:
Srijan is indeed a great person! So, what was the process like once you reached out? How did you enroll, and what was your experience from there?
Shruti:
Yes, Srijan really helped me a lot. He explained the entire course to me, and I was a bit confused at first about whether I should focus on business consultancy or management consultancy. But since I already had experience in content writing, he guided me towards the digital marketing path, and I’m so grateful for that. The whole Jobaaj team was really supportive and answered all my questions. So that’s how I started my journey with Jobaaj.
Podcaster:
That’s amazing! Now, let’s talk about the course. Can you elaborate a bit on your experience with the course modules, live sessions, and the placement support?
Shruti:
The course was absolutely wonderful and very detailed. There were so many aspects of digital marketing and content writing that I hadn’t even considered before. The live classes were interactive, and we had the chance to ask questions directly to the mentors, which was incredibly helpful. A special thanks to Manya, my placement coordinator, who was extremely patient with me throughout the process. And of course, I can’t forget you, for taking my mock interview sessions, which were really useful for my prep.
Podcaster:
I’m glad to hear that, Shruti! Now, if I asked you to rate Jobaaj Learnings on a scale of 0 to 10, how would you rate us and why?
Shruti:
Honestly, I’d give it a 9.5/10. My experience with Jobaaj has been fantastic, especially the placement support. I’ve already referred Jobaaj to several friends who are looking to build their careers in digital marketing.
Podcaster:
Thank you so much for the kind words, Shruti! It’s great to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience with us. Now, you mentioned you’ve received two job offers, one as a Senior Content Writer and the other as a Social Media Expert. Can you tell us a bit more about those options?
Shruti:
Yes, I’ve received two offers. One is from College Apply, where I would be working as a Senior Content Writer. The other is from Incubation Masters in Noida, where I’d be taking on a role as a Social Media Expert and Project Associate. I’m very confused about which option to go for.
Podcaster:
Ah, I see! If you ask me, I would suggest you go with the Social Media Expert role. It’s a great opportunity to create engaging content, work directly on social media platforms, and even learn how to run ads and manage campaigns

General interview questions answered by Shruti during his selection process
Can you give an example of a content project you've worked on (either during your course or before) and how you approached the creation process?
Answer: One of the most significant projects I worked on during my course involved writing SEO-optimized blog posts for a mock business. I researched target keywords, created an editorial calendar, and wrote the content focusing on user intent and SEO best practices. I also used tools like Google Analytics and Yoast SEO to ensure the content was optimized for search engines. The process involved continuous iteration based on feedback, and I tracked the performance of the articles after publishing.
What is your understanding of SEO, and how would you optimize a website or article for search engines?
Answer: SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the practice of optimizing content to improve its visibility in search engine results. It involves both on-page and off-page strategies. On-page SEO includes keyword research, using keywords strategically, optimizing meta descriptions, headings, and content, and ensuring the website is mobile-friendly. Off-page SEO involves link building, social media marketing, and improving domain authority. I would optimize a website or article by conducting thorough keyword research, ensuring the content is valuable to the audience, and following SEO best practices for structure and readability.
How do you stay updated with the latest trends and changes in SEO and digital marketing?
Answer: I follow key industry blogs and websites like Moz, Neil Patel, SEMrush, and HubSpot. I also participate in webinars and online courses to keep my knowledge up-to-date. I follow digital marketing experts on platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter and engage in communities where professionals discuss the latest SEO trends. This helps me stay ahead of algorithm updates and emerging trends in the digital marketing space.
If given the role of a Social Media Expert, how would you create a social media strategy for a brand looking to increase engagement on Instagram?
Answer: To create an effective Instagram strategy, I would first define the brand’s goals and target audience. I would then create a content calendar that includes a mix of content types, such as stories, reels, and static posts. I would use engaging captions, hashtags, and calls to action to encourage interaction. I would also run A/B tests on different content to see what resonates best with the audience and use Instagram Insights to track performance. Regular engagement with followers and influencer partnerships would also help increase reach and build a community.
In your opinion, what is the most effective type of content for driving user engagement and how do you measure its success?
Answer: Interactive content like polls, quizzes, and user-generated content tends to drive the most engagement because it encourages direct interaction with the audience. On Instagram, reels and stories are particularly effective at driving engagement. To measure success, I would use metrics like engagement rate (likes, comments, shares), click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, and audience growth. Tools like Google Analytics and social media insights can help me track these metrics to optimize content strategy.
Can you share your experience with managing multiple content or social media projects simultaneously? How do you prioritize and ensure deadlines are met?
Answer: During my course and previous freelance work, I often managed multiple projects at the same time. To stay organized, I use tools like Trello and Google Calendar to set deadlines and track progress. I prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance. I break down larger projects into smaller tasks to stay on track and make steady progress. Communication with team members and stakeholders is crucial to ensure that everything is aligned and deadlines are met without compromising quality.
